Jue School

Update to Jue Projects

AUGUST 2011 — The director of Jue School has purchased new land, so that they can actually own the classrooms and orphanage that are a part of the school. On this new land, we are helping them build new classrooms for all their nursery classes and an orphanage for the current 42 students.

Here is a quick update on the progress of the building! The new building at Mkonoo consists of five classes, two offices and 15 toilets. More to come!

JUE SCHOOL
Jue School is a private nursery and primary school located in the Sakina region of Arusha in Tanzania. The school was established in 1998 with a mission to provide a quality education with an emphasis on modern technology and science studies.

Jue School accepts day and boarding school students of any religion, tribe or gender. They have students from pre-unit nursery through Standard 7, and teach a total of 250 students. Jue School also has an orphanage on their property, which is currently home to 42 vulnerable children. They are able to use the fees from the paying students to cover the room, board and schooling for these impoverished orphans. Their goal is to expand this orphanage to help more than 100 children.

Jue School has received several rankings based on the primary student’s national exams. They are ranked No. 3 in the Arusha district, No. 6 in the Arusha region and No. 16 in Tanzania, making them one of the top 20 schools in the country.
